Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about InCard Bluetooth trackers: dual-network support, setup, battery life, water resistance, and privacy.

General

What is InCard?

InCard is a brand of Bluetooth item trackers, including the credit-card-thin InCard Finder, the Tagigo keychain tag, Carbon Finder, VibeTag, and Explorer. Every InCard device works with either Apple's Find My network or Google's Find Hub network, selected during setup, so you can find lost wallets, keys, bags, and other items using your phone's built-in Find My or Find Hub app.

Do InCard trackers work with both Apple and Android?

Yes, but not at the same time on the same device. Each InCard tracker can be configured to work with either Apple's Find My network (for iPhone) or Google's Find Hub network (for Android), chosen during initial setup. To switch a tracker from one network to the other, perform a factory reset and set it up again on the other network.

Do I need to download a separate app?

No. InCard trackers connect directly to the Find My app already built into iPhones or the Find Hub app already built into Android phones. No proprietary InCard app or additional account is required.

Is there a subscription fee?

No. InCard trackers have no subscription fees or recurring costs. You pay once for the device and use Apple's or Google's free finding networks indefinitely.

Setup & Network

How do I choose which network my InCard tracker uses?

During the initial setup process, you select either Apple Find My or Google's Find Hub network. Follow the in-box instructions or the product's user manual for step-by-step pairing instructions specific to your device.

Can I switch an InCard tracker to the other network later?

Yes. Perform a factory reset on the tracker, which clears its current network configuration, then set it up again and choose the other network.

What's the Bluetooth range of InCard trackers?

InCard Finder has a Bluetooth range of up to 170 meters (550 feet) in ideal conditions. Beyond direct Bluetooth range, InCard trackers rely on the Find My or Find Hub network of nearby phones to relay their location.

Battery & Durability

How long does the battery last?

Battery life varies by product. InCard Finder lasts up to 5 years on Google's Find Hub network (up to 3 years on Apple Find My) with a sealed, non-rechargeable battery. Tagigo uses a replaceable CR2032 battery. Carbon Finder uses a rechargeable 155mAh battery with Qi wireless charging, lasting up to 6 months per charge.

Are InCard trackers waterproof?

It depends on the product. InCard Finder is IP68 rated (waterproof and dustproof). Carbon Finder is water-resistant (IP67) for everyday splashes. Tagigo and Tagigo G are not waterproof but are built to withstand everyday wear and tear.

Privacy & Safety

Is InCard tracking private and secure?

Yes. InCard trackers use Apple's Find My or Google's Find Hub network, both of which use end-to-end encryption and anonymous location relaying. Neither Apple, Google, nor InCard can see your tracker's location data.

How do I disable an InCard tracker I no longer own?

If you find an unfamiliar InCard tracker (for example, in a bag or vehicle), you can locate the physical reset button and perform a factory reset to disable it and clear the previous owner's network association. See our anti-stalking and disable instructions for step-by-step guidance.
